Wagner’s cottages is in a prime location for PEI for those who want a vacation from the hussle and bussle. However, there are many activities on site and near-by to make your vacation both exciting and relaxing.

Just outside your door

On site there are kayaks and canoes that our visitors may use, free of charge. SS851579

We suggest taking a paddle west, around the bend and up the river as a beautiful paddle awaits. Or you can do north-east towards the sand hills: giant hills of soft sand that protect our waters from the ocean. 9 miles of secluded beach is a breath of fresh air to the crowded beaches of Cavendish. On the hills, a variety of activities await you. Many visitors like to collect driftwood as it can be used for a variety of projects. Others enjoy taking long walks on the beach while listening to the calming waves go in and out. Others like to start a fire and watch the sun begin to set. The sand hills are perfect for kite flying, so bring your kite! Don’t forget to bring water and a snack as the paddle over can really build an appetite.

In front of the cottages lay shallow waters that are home to many sea creatures. Clams are very common in front of our cottages so bring a pail or pot and dig up some clams and have a traditional island clam bake. Just look for the clams airholes in the sand, then using a shovel, plunger or your hands, dig it up.
